RED LIPSTICKS FOR VALENTINE’S DAY

I love red lipstick and I wear it at least once a week! So since Valentine’s Day is coming up I thought I would share my favourite red lipsticks for Valentine’s Day! I usually only wear liquid lipsticks, but every now and then when I’m in a hurry, I will wear a normal lipstick; so I thought I would include a good mix of all different types and shades of reds!

AUSTRALIS VELOURLIPS MATTE LIP CREAM IN NY-CEE – $10.49

This was one of the first liquid lipsticks I ever bought and it is so great! The colour pay off is so amazing, it smells delicious and is VERY affordable! Once this dries it will last all day! Velourlips can be a little drying so make sure you put some lip balm (I use Papaw ointment) on before you apply this to help that!

RIMMEL LONDON KATE MOSS LASTING FINISH IN #10 RED N CHIC – $11.95

This was my number 1 red lipstick for so long. It was the first red I ever bought and used to wear it every day! The only reason I don’t wear it anymore is because I prefer matte lipsticks. This lipstick is very long lasting and super pigmented. I wore it on Christmas day a few years ago and it lasted ALL day. This is the shade of red that looks great on every skin tone!

NYX COSMETICS MATTE LIPSTICK IN ALABAMA – $12.95

I love NYX! This was the first NYX product I tried. It’s more of an orange-y, brick red which I really like with my skin tone. It is still red without screaming red. It has a really nice matte formula that isn’t drying. It doesn’t have a great smell, like all the other lipsticks, but it’s not like you smell it all day.

JEFFREE STAR VELOUR LIQUID LIPSTICK IN UNICORN BLOOD – $30.00

I got this lipstick by accident. I was at Face Bar with my mum last year (She loves liquid lipsticks. She wears the Australis NY-CEE all the time!) and we both wanted to get a shade. I bought Celebrity Skin and she bought Unicorn Blood. When she tried it on at home she thought it was a bit too dark for her so she gave it to me. I love dark lipstick so it is perfect for me! Jeffree Star’s liquid lipstick’s formula is by far my favourite. It is so pigmented and not drying at all.

AUSTRALIS VELOURLIPS MATTE LIP CREAM IN BUDA-PASH – $10.49

This is one of my favourite Australis lip creams. A lot of their colours are too light/bright for my skin tone and I have to mix colours together to get it to look good on me. This colour is just perfect. I love brown lipstick and this is a really nice red-brown/burgundy colour! But again, Velourlips can be a little drying so make sure you put on some lip balm first!

So these are my top five reds for Valentines day! I will probably be wearing Jeffree Star because it is kiss proof and my husband will be getting lots of kisses from me!
