It has been a while since I posted a haul, so I thought I’d do a holiday haul, or hauliday, and show you the makeup I’ve bought over the last few months during the Christmas sales and makeup I was given for Christmas!
I was extremely lucky this Christmas and my husband gave me both Kylie Cosmetics eyeshadow palettes! I understand that a lot of people don’t like Kylie Jenner, but if you want good quality makeup, give her brand a try. Her makeup is incredible and I would recommend it to everyone. I also got a matte lipstick, Trick which is green, a metal, Kymajesty which is black/blue and a gloss, Jolly which is red. I have wanted a green liquid matte lipstick for a while, so I was really excited when Kylie released one because I knew it would be perfect! I got Kymajesty for free on Halloween because she was giving them away with every order. It looks amazing over her black lipstick, Dead of Knight. Jolly is my first Kylie gloss and I had heard such amazing things about them so I’ve wanted to try one for a while.
NYX is now finally more readily available in Australia! They’ve been available in Target for a while, but they never kept them fully stocked so it was impossible to buy anything. They now stock NYX in Priceline and have so many new products for sale! While I was in Launceston recently I picked up a nude roll on simmer which is beautiful, a butter gloss Christmas pack which was super cheap and their dewy setting spray! I also picked up a clear Rimmel gloss which was half price at Priceline!
For the last few months I’ve started wearing false lashes! My all time favourite lashes are Red Cherry! They are super nice and so affordable! I have also found the best lash glue ever! Lash glue I’ve used in the past just never worked and wouldn’t stick. I found J Cat lash glue in Glow Cosmetics and it was only $7 so I thought, why not give it a try. I don’t think I could use any other glue now.
LA Girl is my favourite concealer brand so I thought I’d try out their foundation. I was a little worried about buying foundation online because I didn’t want to get the wrong colour, but I was fairly close so I’m pretty happy with it. I also got one of their Strobing Powders in 90 Watt. I’ve heard incredible things about these highlighters so I thought I’d try it out. I love this more than any other highlighter I’ve tried. I would definitely recommend LA Girl, especially if you are darker like me, because they cater to darker skin tones and are super affordable!
I never really buy myself high end makeup because it’s really expensive and most of the time it is just easier to go to Priceline. I recently put in a little Mecca order and got myself the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, Too Faced Love Flush Blush in Baby Love and 3 mini Bronzers. Two are mini Chocolate Soleil and one is a mini Sun Bunny. The Bronzers are so adorable and smell like chocolate which is a really cute touch. The little brush that it came with is really sweet and super soft!
I also got my first Benefit product! I have been searching for a new primer for months and I’ve heard mixed reviews about The Professional Primer so I got myself a mini one to try out!
I will probably do full posts and reviews on a lot of these products next year after I’ve used them more so I can form my own opinion on it.
I can’t believe I’ve been blogging for over a year now. Thank you to everyone who has read my posts, commented and shared them. I can’t wait to grow my blog next year!
