#ITSINTHEBAG

November 19, 2016

Every year my husband and I like to donate to a charity to help people in need. In the past we have donated food and baby clothes but this year I wanted to help women who are having a hard time this Christmas.

Share The Dignity is a wonderful organisation that helps families all over Australia. Their ‘It’s in the Bag’ Christmas campaign started when they realised that they look after children and make sure they feel special at Christmas time, but women are usually forgotten. For the last few months I’ve been slowing buying products to fill up a bag. You can fill it with all sorts like, pads, tampons, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, soap, water, ect. Food, pharmaceuticals and sharp objects cannot be included in the bags for health and safety reason.

There are bag collection points all over the country, so if you wish to get involved you can find your local spot here. Drop offs start today, Saturday the 19th of November and end Saturday the 3rd of December. If you don’t have time to put together a bag, you can make a donation on their website, here.

Putting this bag together has been so simple and but hopefully it will make a big difference to someone this Christmas.

What a great idea. I love that this focuses on he essentials a woman would need and I’m sure many women would be really appreciative of receiving a thoughtful gift like this! #kcacols

What a lovely campaign this is! I’ve never heard about it before. I should get involved as I have too many beauty products that I don’t need.

Thanks for linking up with #KCACOLS and hope to see you again soon x

This is a great idea. I have way too many unopened toiletries that I’ll never get around to using #KCACOLS
