The 3rd post in my essentials series! This post is all about my essential makeup tools! What would we do without these silly looking things? 
Obviously the first thing I need to talk about is makeup brushes! These are Real Techniques Bold Metals dupes! I got them on eBay not long ago and I am so in love! They were stupid cheap (compared to the real ones which are anywhere from $40-$60 EACH). They are really soft and are just as good as my Nude By Nature brushes. I won’t say much about them because I am planning on doing a review on them soon.
First things first, I want to apologise for how dirty my sponge is. When I took this picture I just couldn’t get it clean but since then I’ve made my own brush cleaner and I’ve made it look brand new (post coming soon with a DIY brush cleaner). Anyway, this Real Techniques sponge is the best sponge I’ve used. But to be honest, the only other sponge I’ve used was just a cheap Kmart one, but still. I prefer using a sponge over a brush for applying concealer and foundation and this sponge is so soft and makes my skin look so flawless!

I got this pore cleansing pad from Kmart at the start of the year because I saw people say that it works as a great brush cleaning pad. I can now say that it is an INCREDIBLE brush cleaning pad!! My brushes have never looked so clean!
I got this sharpener in my Nude By Nature brush set and it is the best sharpener I’ve ever used. I don’t know why but all my other sharpeners break my pencils and just don’t work. It is definitely worth spending the extra money for a good sharpener. Especially if you love lip pencils as much as me!
I have had this eyelash curler for so long. I love my eyelashes (even though I wish the were a little longer) and I love to curl them so they look nice and lifted!!

Ooh your brushes are so pretty! I just bought a sponge like that but I think I’m using it wrong – I seem to end up with more foundation on the sponge then my face!
Are you wetting the sponge first? Wetting it makes it bigger & softer and doesn’t allow much product to get into the sponge. x
