2015 was such a lovely year for me and my family so I thought I would share with you my favourite pictures, stories and moments. It was actually really hard to narrow it down as I basically loved every that I did in 2015!
Getting Married
This was obviously the best and most important thing to happen to me in 2015. Jason and I had been engaged since January 2012 and we planned a wedding and then had to cancel it because we moved to Tasmania and then we had Archer so we put it off again, but we finally did it this year! We only had about 5 people there but it was perfect!
Tazmazia with Mum
My mum stayed with us for about 6 weeks (over Christmas and Archer’s birthday) and while she was with us we went to Tasmazia! I had never been before but I had seen ads on TV and it looked really fun! There are 8 mazes and is the largest maze complex in the world! We didn’t get to look at everything there because it isn’t very pram friendly. Hopefully we will go back next year and have a proper look because Archer can walk now!
Archer’s First Birthday
Archer’s first birthday was so fun! I made his cake myself, it was black with gold animals! I didn’t get many good pictures that day, because I was so busy cooking and making sure Archer wasn’t in a horrible mood. But it was still a great first birthday!
Archer’s First trip to the Beach
Archer’s first trip to the beach has been his only trip to the beach. He didn’t really like anything about it. He still isn’t a fan of sand, but he loves water now so I think now that it’s getting hot again, we should go back and see how he does!
Snow with Mum
This was such a great day! Archer’s first trip to the snow! Sadly he didn’t like the snow much either! I had my wisdom teeth out and convinced my mum to come stay for a few weeks so while she was here we decided to go for a drive to Cradle Mountain! You can see more pictures and read more about it in my post ‘Goodbye Winter‘.
Archer meeting Bek & Sampson
About a month after my mum went home, my sister and her dog came to stay for three weeks! It was so great to see her because I hadn’t seen her in years and she finally got to meet Archer! Archer loved playing with her and her dog! Hopefully we will see her again soon.
Snow with Bek
While Bek was with us it snowed! She had never seen snow before so we had to go! Archer still hated it, but Bek and Sampson had a great time and so did Jason and I so it was a really great trip! Again, you can read more about it and see more pictures in my post ‘Goodbye Winter‘.
Setting up my Makeup desk
It has taken my two years to get my makeup desk to finally be at a point where I love it! There are still a few things I want to buy, but overall, I absolutely love it! The desk is from Kmart ($29.00) makeup holders are from all over the place, Spotlight, Kmart, eBay and my nail polish holders were from a woman on Facebook who closed down her nail salon and I was able to get them for $10 each! I still need to get a proper chair, probably just an Eames replica chair from Kmart.
Finishing my Satsuma Street Pretty Little City Pattern
I am so proud of myself for finishing this! I bought this Satsuma Street pattern in January and finally finished it in October! I decided to start with Pretty Little City because there were just way too many adorable options and I couldn’t choose between Paris and London. I’m going to buy the London, Paris and Italy set next, but first I’m going to do Pretty Little City again, but in pastel colours!
Date night with Jason
This was our first date night since having Archer! Jason won tickets to an early screening of Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension. We are huge fans of the Paranormal Activity movies so it was so great to finally see the last one at the cinema! After we saw the movie, we went to Mamma Rosa’s to get pizza for dinner! It was such a nice little date night!
My 22nd Bithday
My 22nd birthday was really lovely! I got my favourite flowers and I got some really lovely gifts, which you can see in my ‘November Haul‘ post. We had a nice day at home and then went to my favourite place in the world, Spotlight! They were having a huge Christmas sale and we managed to get a $40 Christmas tree for $10! So that night we put our Christmas tree up!
Christmas Baking
Christmas baking is one of my favourite things ever! I love Christmassy decorations and all the festive flavours! Gingerbread is one of my all time Christmas things to bake! If you would like to make these snowflake cookies, you can find the recipe in my ‘Gingerbread Snowflakes‘ post!
Christmas Day
Christmas day was so wonderful! We woke up early and opened presents while Facetiming with my mum. Then we went out to Jason’s parent’s house for lunch with his family. Then we came home and started cooking because Jason’s parent’s were coming over for Christmas dinner. We had roast pork and turkey with roasted veg and it was so good. We all had a really great day!
I hope you all had a great year and I hope 2016 is even better!
